Internal Affairs

UdeS

Naïla's research is on electrochemical aptamer-based biosensors : she's  developing ultra-fast electrochemical methods to study DNA aptamer folding kinetics. I love staying active through sports, enjoying outdoor adventures, and baking delicious treats!

Scott Prins
Vice President

McGill University

Scott's research is on bioelectronics, and he specifically works on designing portable enzymatic sensors.

He's passionate about creating more accessible diagnostic tools. He has a podcast : Alzeimer's AMiNDR.

Imane's PhD is focusing on semiconductor photoanodes to enhance hydrogen evolution through photoelectrochemical water splitting. When she isn't splitting water molecules, she's belting out tunes even if my friends might call it noise pollution!

Louis Hamlet
Education Executive

Université de Montréal

Louis works on organic redox flow batteries by developing
methods for electrochemical and spectroscopic characterization of the
degradation of active organic molecules, in situ and ex situ.

He likes ultimate Frisbee, the forest and craft beer brewing.

Jashan's work focuses on elucidating the interaction of cupper and aluminium with an organic coating for corrosion prevention.

She loves tulips, playing badminton and taking too many pictures of the sky.

Jashanpreet Kaur
Media Executive

UQAM

Brittany studies state-of-the art lithium-ion batteries, applies advanced analytical techniques at synchroton facilities and collaborates with industry.

She enjoys spending time with her family and listining to true crime podcasts.

Brittany Pelletier-Villeneuve
Treasurer

Richie Fong
External Affairs

McGill University

Richie's research explores new sustainable cathode materials for use in Li-ion batteries.

Richies used to play tuba.

Christophe Guérin
Supporting (Website)

Université de Montréal

Christophe's research is on Gold-Supported lipid membrane : redox-trigged vesicle fusion to obtain supported lipid bilayers. The objective is to study their thermotropic properties.

He likes to play guitar.
